Garage & Yard Sales Mapping Software
This application would be a great public service, you could also promote area products and services. Software uses Google maps to plot local Garage and Yard sales. Publication of yard sale submissions are controlled by the administrator through an email activation link (very easy to approve new postings). GeoCoding services are made freely available with a Google developer license with 1,000 GeoCoding calls available per day. When adding a Yard Sale, the location is plotted on a map and verified before the user submits the Yard Sale location. A weekly subscription list lets users get the Yard Sale list in their inbox and allows the webmaster to add a customized message to the top and bottom of the message. On the left-hand side of the site, users can enter their address and they will be able to see all yard sales in relation to their location. A separate printable map is available for users who want to a printer friendly version of the list for the road, also sorted from closest to furthest if the user has entered a starting point.
